11. The City Talent Academy

The action involves the modernisation of the Youth Palace (Pałac Młodzieży), the city’s largest extracurricular education institution. It addresses the problems of educational exclusion, limited opportunities for skill development, and the misalignment of the current educational offer with the modern needs of youth and the labour market. Currently, the institution is struggling with outdated infrastructure, limited accessibility, and a curriculum that fails to meet student expectations, particularly those of exceptionally gifted individuals.

The action includes a comprehensive modernisation of the Youth Palace, the removal of architectural barriers, and the updating of its educational offer. A new space open to all residents will be created, combining STEAM education, talent development, and social activation. This will strengthen intergenerational bonds, improve the quality of life for residents, and help mitigate the brain drain of young people from the city. The Youth Palace will become a center supporting the acquisition of future-proof competencies by integrating science, technology, the arts, and entrepreneurship. The program will offer a wide range of classes, courses, and workshops accessible to young people, seniors, and persons with disabilities.

The implementation of this action includes the renovation of the Palace, equipping the workshops, and the development and rollout of educational programmes. This modern space will serve all residents, enabling personal development, integration, and social activity.

The total value of this action is 23,674,849.16 PLN, with grant funding amounting to 19,429,600.92 PLN.
