Mascaroon Parade
The “Mascaroon Parade” competition has launched in Tarnów. This event, open to children, young people, institutions, and local entrepreneurs, combines fun with exploring the city’s history and its distinctive mascarons.
Participants are tasked with creating a three-dimensional mascaron mask inspired by sculptures from Tarnów’s Town Hall or the city’s trail. The artwork must meet specific technical requirements and be mounted on a pole enabling its presentation during the final event.
Applications must be submitted by 3:00 PM on June 10th. They can be submitted electronically or in paper form to the Tarnów City Hall. Each entity may submit a maximum of two works. 15. The results will be announced the same day during the event.
The competition finals will take place on June 13th in Tarnów’s Market Square. The presentation and judging of entries is scheduled for 5 p.m., followed by the Mascaroni Parade at approximately 6 p.m. The results will be announced the same day during the event.
The works will be assessed by a competition jury, which will award prizes in four categories:
- kindergarten groups and grades I-IV of primary schools from Tarnów,
- classes V-VIII of primary schools and classes of secondary schools from the Tarnów area,
- educational and cultural institutions, community centers, clubs, art studios for children and youth from Tarnów,
- local entrepreneurs, restaurateurs, craft producers, non-governmental organizations.
The total prize pool is PLN 18,000. The organizers reserve the right to change the event date in the event of unfavorable weather conditions.
